Unilumin + Brompton Programming – Two-Day Intensive Training
This two-day, hands-on LED class is designed to give technicians a complete understanding of how to deploy, assemble, and operate Unilumin URM LED products using Brompton processing. Through guided instruction and practical build sessions, participants will gain the skills needed to confidently work with LED in mock up production environments.
Day 1 – URM 3.9 System & Hardware Integration
Participants will explore the Unilumin URM3.9 Pro LED platform in detail, learning the physical build workflows, mechanical features, and system compatibility considerations across the full tile lineup:
  • URM 3.9 Pro 1000 × 500 panels
  • URM 3.9 Pro 500 × 500 panels
  • URM 3.9-C-C (Corner) tiles
  • URM 3.9-S (Special/Bevel) tiles
Hands-on build labs will walk attendees through:
  • Constructing a fully functional 6-sided cube, including proper orientation, cabling, corner integration, and structural alignment.
  • Best practices for mixing –C and –S variant tiles with both 0.5m and 1m panel sizes to achieve specialty shapes or custom configurations.
  • Building ground-supported LED walls, using the full ecosystem of Unilumin ground support components to ensure safe, stable installations.
By the end of Day 1, students will understand mechanical design, safety considerations, rigging options, and optimal build strategies for various production scenarios.
Day 2 – Brompton Programming & System Operation
Day 2 transitions from physical builds to LED processing and programming. Participants will learn to set up, configure, and drive the URM 3.9 system using Brompton Tessera software and Brompton hardware:
  • Introduction to the Brompton SX40 and XD distribution system
  • Mapping and configuring URM 3.9 panels in Tessera
  • Creating and applying panel groups, color settings, and firmware management
  • Troubleshooting common setup and processing issues
  • Optimizing refresh rates, genlock, color accuracy, and performance for live events and broadcast environments
The day concludes with a full system run-through, giving each participant hands-on practice driving content through a properly mapped and calibrated LED build.
